how many dreams do you have?

Working on one dream and one dream only is pretty simple. You're able to put all of your energy and focus into that one sole thing. One dream, one passion in life; give it all you've got. That's great for some. But some of us have many dreams we want to pursue, so we have to spread out our time, focus, and energy between all of them. Not quite so "simple".

Those who have just one dream try to advise those of us with many dreams to just pick one dream to really focus on. That sounds good in theory, but in reality it's much more complicated and difficult than they realize.

It's like having many children and someone telling you to just pick one.
Simply put: you can't.

I often struggled with the "too many dreams" issue until someone recommended the book that finally made sense of it all for me. It helped me to understand this part of me, so I could stop fighting it and work with it. I realized that having many dreams brings joy into my life, and I don't need to choose just one. If you also find yourself having many dreams in life and can't choose just one... then you seriously need to read this book!

THE RENAISSANCE SOUL, by Margaret Lobenstine
LIFE DESIGN for PEOPLE with TOO MANY PASSIONS to PICK JUST ONE

This book ended my struggle of trying to narrow things down to just one dream, and helped me understand that it's just not possible for me. It's a losing battle. Now I'm able to allow myself the freedom to have my varied dreams and goals and to recognize that I can thrive at all of them if I'm willing to do what it takes. I just have to be diligent in making time for each of them and organized enough to fit them all into my life. And have a bit more patience for seeing results at a little slower pace than I would if I only had one dream.

If you are a "renaissance soul" like me, may this book give you the freedom to pursue all of your dreams in life, too. (
And for those of you out there that find it easy to have just one dream and really focus on it, reading this book might help you understand your friends and family that just aren't able to, so you can support them in their various endeavors instead of trying to change them into someone they will never be.)
