An evening view from the top of Goat Mountain, with the sun lowering quickly. The topo maps don't show a trail to Goat Mountain because it's not a Forest Service trail. It's a short trail (around 1-1/2 miles to the top?), but incredibly steep. (So steep that I hiked much of it on my tip toes to get there. -- I think the mountain goats must have put this trail in.) After taking in the wonderful views at the top for a bit, we enjoyed seeing the full moon in the darkening sky as we hiked back down.
A lovely photo note card that most would appreciate receiving with a friendly little note from a friend.
