 What a nice surprise we discovered this morning near the pond ... a new little fawn tucked away in the vegetation. This was the closest I've ever been to such a small little baby deer (about 3-4 feet), as it was hidden right next to where we walk along the pond's edge. It certainly will be fun to watch this little one as she gets bigger and starts walking around here with her mama. :)

Yeah, this kind of discovery doesn't happen all the time, that's for sure. The mama hid her fawn pretty well, as you could walk right by without noticing a thing if you weren't paying close attention. We see different things at our pond from time to time, so we're often on the lookout. :) Thanks for the comment... I really appreciate them. :) Your comment will be posted after it is approved.
